Love Lost

Recently I suffered a deep loss. I know some people won’t get it but to me my heart is breaking. I have no motivation to eat right or work out. I’m going to try to force myself to do a 15 minute workout today but I’m just grieving hard. My little bird passed away unexpectantly and even the vet was surprise as to how quick it happened. 

Before then I was getting better at the Brazilian Butt Lift and was staying in the 124 range. Idono how much I have gained with all the cheat snacks. I haven’t been eating much but what I have been eating isn’t good. My husband has been forcing me to eat because I tend to not eat when stressed and grieving and he tends to over eat.  

It’s kind of sad that my diet blog is the only place I can truly express myself. 

But I truly miss him, he was so loving and brought so much joy to my life. He would hang out with me and give me kisses. He loved me and I loved him. I feel he was stolen from me far too soon, we should have had at least 8 more years together. Whenever I thought of the next couple of years I never could imagine them without him. Our other bird is grieving hard, she was a follower and followed him everywhere and anywhere. She doesn’t know what to do with herself, luckily she is eating well and we are trying to show her all the love we can and while she might not understand we did everything possible to save him.

AMAZING!

I use to hang out in the range of 125-126 and now when I weight myself it’s in the 124 - 125 plus my BUTT is looking GREAT! 

I started getting more serious and doing the Brazilian Butt Lift and honestly it killed me more than p90x in 30 minutes. I’m so excited about it. I’ve also been walking more and doing more stairs with my ankle weights on so I’m finally seeing some progress plus my stomach is looking a tiny bit flatter.

Weight In

Yesterday I weighted in and I was 124.5 and today I was 125.5 This is good news because this past weekend I went back home and when I go there it’s impossible to eat well. So I’m happy there was no significant damage from that weekend. When we got home we ate very conservatively. Smoothies for Breakfast, Soup or Half Sandwich for lunch. Fruit, Nuts or Popcorn for snacks. Only 1 glass of juice (not including the juice in the smoothie) and water for the rest of the day. Salad or very light dinners. Other than Yesterday I have been working out pretty consistently and really focusing on my legs/butt/thighs. I really want to tone them up and make them look amazing. I’m already seeing my butt looking more toned which is good news. 

I’ve been measuring my thighs and it seems I’m getting millimeters in progress but I’m going to be happy with each millimeter because each one will get me 1 step closer to a half inch and an inch.

Exercise 

Week 1 Day 1 of the Couch to 5K plan overall I was able to do it, I struggled going up the hills on the trail but the 60 degree weather killed me. I’m going to stick to indoor exercises until it’s at least 68 degrees outside at 5pm

I weighted in a 125.5 pounds again. I have a feeling that 124 was the scale trolling me

Scale why are you lying

How do I wake up and I’m 124! Yesterday I was 125.5. I know I didn’t lose 1.5 pounds overnight. I only weight myself after I done my business in the mornings before I eat anything.

Today’s progress or lack of

I weighted myself 

I was 125.5… Now I would be happy if I hadn’t been stuck at that weight for quite some time. I’m happy I am seeing that on the scale instead of 128 don’t get me wrong but it seem I fluctuate between those 3 pounds pretty frequently. 

Today was a date night but overall I thought I was pretty good

Brunch (Sunday Break from Smoothies)

Small Serving of super yummy applewood smoked bacon (which I was begging for more but my husband refused since we are both dieting; benefit to having someone on your side) We also woke up pretty so this was slightly bigger meal

1 egg omelet with a bit of seasoning and cheese

since I was still hungry after eating

1 half of grape fruit with a tiny bit of sugar sprinkled 

1 cup of tea with honey 

Snack

We went to the $1 movies for a date night. This was the first time we went to this particular theater and I loved it. Especially the portion sizes! Of course they trap you with the yummy smell of popcorn. But instead of the small being an old school large like at Regal it was actually small! We split that and snuck in some water

1/2 of a small popcorn (maybe 1 small cereal bowls worth)

a half sandwich bag full of raisins

Dinner 

We tried a brand new restaurant, this might not have been the healthiest choice but we only have 1 date night per month. We went to a non chain italian restaurant and ate quite a bit.

3 mini garlic rolls

1 house salad in a vinaigrette dressing

1/2 a serving of fetticuini alfredo 

3 tiny chicken breast cooked in wine (omg this was sooo good and didn’t feel unhealthy but they didn’t have cal counts on the menu)

Exercise

We played a pretty strenuous game on Kinect after dinner to work it off, this game almost had me passed out, pretty much 30 minutes of straight jumping and crouching. Then we took a 30 minute break and played Fruit Ninja till we almost passed out (I’m guessing 20 minutes worth)

We wanted to go for a walk in a store but after dinner it seemed all the stores closed early.

Shopping  

Between the movies and dinner we stopped by a TJ Maxx and I found 2 pairs of workout pants, since I only have 1 pair and the rest are all high waters (do they not think tall people want to work out too!) 1 pair is perfect for cold weather walks and jogs and the other is better for inside or spring time!

New Years!

Honestly I don’t do resolutions because if I want to change I’m not going to start Jan 1st. 

But here are my goals 

Lose 2-3 inches off my waist and hopefully get it to 25 inches, 24 would be amazing but it’s been forever since it was that small and I was too skinny everywhere else. 25 was perfect, I still had my boobs and dat ass along with my wide hips I felt perfect. One time I was 107 pounds and I went from having a B cup to A cup and overall looked starved. I didn’t realize it happened because I always wore baggy clothes but work was stressing me out that I was wasting away. I never want to be that skinny again, being Latina I felt I lost my sexiness by looking almost like a little boy with wide hips. Hopefully I can get my 120 goal and in the spring I want to do the couch to 5K and maybe get back to 115 this time next year!

So TLDR:

Weight goal: 115 pounds

Waist Goal: 25 inches

Thigh Goal: 19 inches

Fitness Goal: Able to do a Pull Up and Run for a distance without dying

I hope my husband can get to his 180 pound goal, he has lost 34 pounds this year and has about 16 to go!

Today’s progress

So far what I have had to eat

A couple sips of the smoothie (it got too thick too fast, I mean the cup fell over and it didn’t pour out for a few minutes)

1 cup of tea with lots of honey

1 cold ez 

a handful of trail mix

1 sandwich and half a cup of tomato soup with cheese sprinkled on top

pumpkin seeds

1 pear

1 half of a trader joes arugula pizza  with a tiny bit of extra cheese and 2 pepperonis added

1 glass of trader joes low sugar low cal lemonade that was watered down

Exercise 

25 minute walk with lots up steep hills and I had 5 pound ankle weights

We played Kinect, Ninja Fruit game. More arm movements than leg movements

tip: if you love drinking juice, water it down to save cals. Start with adding just a quarter water and then slowly increase till you have it at half. Do it slowly and you won’t feel the difference.
